I have fallen in love with the most adorable little soaps—ones that are custom-made inside TVÅL, a decadent skincare store that opened on Queen Street West six months ago. TVÅL soapcakes look good enough to eat, smell absolutely delicious, and are a wonderful accessory for any bathroom—or, if Ivory just won’t do, make a heavenly bath or shower soap. My first soapcake was given as a gift, and they are so cleverly designed (it even had sprinkles) I thought I had received a real gourmet cupcake! So far I’ve tried their blueberry cupcake and chocolate cherry cupcake soaps, and I have a pretty lavender mandarin concoction waiting in the wings for my next deserving houseguest.
Because they have a similar consistency to traditional soap, TVÅL soapcakes actually last. Which means you won’t be running back to buy another because you’ve run out, but instead, because you want—need—to try a new scent, or you want to surprise your best friend with a creative (and affordable) gift! TVÅL makes all of their products on site, and they also offer a variety of other soaps, cleansers, lotions, creams, and even a mineral makeup line.
